The invention concerns a layout for debiting and control of money and goods transactions. The layout contains a plurality of terminals arranged at different stations, each of which can be activated by different kinds of account cards and the like. Furthermore, there is a number of central account-keeping computers. When a terminal is activated, it calls up the correct account- keeping computer based on the account card information that is read off, which computer investigates the status of the account and then sends return information to the calling terminal, which on this basis controls the remainder of the process. If permission is granted to perform the transaction, a bookkeeping occurs at the same time in the called computer. The construction of the layout thus allows the accounts in the different central computers to be kept constantly updated. <IMAGE> |
