PURPOSE:To naturally read a character text by means of a synthesized voice. CONSTITUTION:A line character number detection part 23 detects the number of characters in the respective lines of a text being the object of reading, which is read from a text file 1 into a memory 21. A line character number most frequency value detection part 25 detects the number L of the characters whose appearing frequency is the highest in the number of the line characters. A detection part for line being object of partition 26 detects the line shorter than the number L of the characters by the number N of the characters, which is previously decided, as the line being the object of partition in the respective lines of the text being the object of reading. In the line which does not have a punctuation mark showing the partition of the sentence at a line end among the lines being the object of partition, a code showing the start of the new line, which is at the line end, is replaced with the punctuation mark. In the lines except for the line in which the code showing the start of the new line is at the line end, is eliminated by a connection part 28, and the line where the number of the characters is more than L-N and the puctuation mark does not exist is connected with the next line. |
