PURPOSE:To reduce light frequency dependency of photoelectric power transmissibility and to reduce loss by producing gain which compensates the insertion loss of a light direction coupler with delay lines excited with an exciting means. CONSTITUTION:A light delay equalizing circuit consists of a light direction coupler 1, light delay lines 21, 22 connected to terminals 13, 14 of the light direction coupler 1, and a light wave combiner 3 with terminals 31-33. Exciting light with a wave length of lambdaE is inputted to the terminal 32 of the light wave combiner 3, and a signal light with a wave length of lambdaS is inputted to a terminal 11 of the light direction coupler 1, and a delayed equalized light signal is outputted form a terminal 12. The light wave combiner 3 outputs without loss the light with a wave length of lambdaS inputted from the terminal 31 and the light with a wave length of lambdaE inputted from the terminal 32. The light direction coupler 1 has a specified distribution ratio to the light with a wave length of lambdaS inputted to the terminal 11 and transmits without loss to the terminal 14 the light with a wave length of lambdaE inputted to the terminal 13. Light delay lines 21, 22 are excited with the light with a wave length of lambdaE from the light wave combiner 3 to produce gain which compensates the insertion loss of the light direction coupler 1. |
