PURPOSE:To form a contour that has the features of an original contour and does not include any fine recessed/projecting part consisting of the contour dots despite the magnification of a graphic by applying the interpolation among the contour dots forming an apex at a corner part of the original contour by means of a straight line or a curve for formation of the contour. CONSTITUTION:The contour dots of a graphic are extracted from the bit map data stored in a memory 18, and these contour dot data are stored in a memory 20. Then the contour dot showing the features of an original contour is extracted from those contour dots stored in the memory 20 as a key point of the original contour. Then the pattern of the contour dot extracted as a key point is analyzed, and the key point positioning at the apex of a corner part formed by the original contour is detected. Then the interpolation is applied among the contour dots which form an apex of the corner part, and a cutting plotter forms the contours to be cut. Thus it is possible to form a smooth contour that has features of the corner part, etc., of the original contour and does not include any conspicuous and fine recessed/projecting part consisting of the contour dots. |
