PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide porous carbon-based spherical particles which are pelletized with a simple process and are spherical particles with a particle size of several μm, and of which the particle size can be made constant and the specific surface area (including pore characteristics) can be easily adjusted by calcination at high temperature, and to provide a production method of the same.SOLUTION: Porous carbon-based spherical particles with a large specific surface area can be obtained by heat-treating spherical granulated particles, which are configured of at least a carbon-based material and a binder resin to join the carbon-based material and have an average particle size of 50 μm or less, at a decomposition temperature or higher of the used binder resin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
