PURPOSE:To provide a multistage light-gas rifle wherein light gas is compressed to accelerate a missile without using gunpowder. CONSTITUTION:A multistage light-gas rifle is provided, wherein a compression piston 2 is accelerated to compress a light gas 9 in a light-gas compression pipe 1 and a missile 10 placed in a launching tube 4 in communication with the pipe 1 is accelerated by the superhigh pressure of the gas 9. An electrically heating chemical section 12 is provided at the rear of the piston 2 and the piston 2 is accelerated by high pressure generated gas from the section 12, whereby by changing reaction rate, etc., only, pushing forces of the piston 2 can be adjusted in a simple manner and further handling is simple as compared to the case wherein gunpowder is utilized and miniaturization is achieved easily and also a multistage light gas rifle, wherein manufacturing cost and operation cost are low, can be obtained. |
