<p>PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption to a required minimum value and to improve the durability of the equipment for the system by providing a means energizing power for a hard disk recorder only at all times and a means controlling the hard disk recorder from a facsimile unit side to the system. CONSTITUTION:When power is applied to the electronic file equipment and it is used singly, a host CPU 14 executes executes all the control as an initiator, and an optical disk drive 12 and a hard disk drive 11 are properly started and record required data and picture information. Moreover, when a call comes to the connected facsimile unit 3, either of a facsimile unit side CPU 32 and the host side CPU 14 or the both are operated in common by the communication between the facsimile unit side CPU 32 and the host side CPU 14 to control the host side hard disk drive 1 or the optical disk drive 12 via an SCSI bus 2 as the initiator. Then received picture data are recorded.</p> |
