The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for feeding cattle in livestock units, in which essentially two animal areas, which are situated opposite one another, have a common feeding station. The method is characterised in that the feed is brought from a central mixing station via a feed carriage, the feed carriage is introduced into the feeding station located in the stall and is brought as far as the end thereof, a flap present in the feed carriage is opened downwards in the feeding station, and then, during the return movement of the feed carriage, the feed is conveyed to the floor of the feeding station through a delivery and distributor device arranged in the feed carriage.
