<p>A monitoring device (1) for a multiplicity of series-connected similar accumulators (2) has a pair of switches (25, 26, 27), which is allocated to the terminal connections (11, 12) of each accumulator (2) and the switching contacts (26, 27) of which are connected to capacitors (31). The pairs of switches (25, 26, 27) are connected to a control circuit (22) via control lines (29), the control circuit (22) at the same time applying a closing signal to in each case at the most one control line (29). The in each case associated accumulator (2) is connected to a capacity formed from the multiplicity of parallel-connected capacitors (31) by a successive individual closing of the pairs of switches (25). During the time when they are connected together, an exchange of charge and a charge equalisation occur between the selected accumulator (2) and the capacitors (31). By selecting accumulators (2) which charge up or discharge to a different degree, a voltage equalisation occur between the voltages of the individual accumulators (2) which prevents a premature degradation of the accumulator system. <IMAGE></p> |
