<p>PURPOSE:To compute cuff compliance without using a flow rate sensor or a fine tube and two pressure sensors by computing pressure-volume change relation from the relation between the number of rotations of a pressure means or a parameter having known relation to the number of rotations and the pressure value at the point of time of the number of rotations. CONSTITUTION:The flow rate Q of a pressure pump 2 is preliminarily stored as the relation (graph c) between the number of rotations of the pressure pump 2 and cuff pressure P. The measured number N of rotations of the pressure pump 2 is referred to the graph (c) to be converted to the flow rate Q corresponding to the number N of rotations to obtain the relation between the cuff pressure P and the flow rate Q shown by a graph (d). Next, the fine volume change DELTAV of a cuff 1 is computed from the obtained flow rate Q. When this processing is performed until the max. pressure value is measured from the point of time when the pressure pump 2 starts pressurization, the compliance curve (graph e) to the internal pressure of the cuff 1 is calculated. By this method, constitution is made simple and the cost can be suppressed.</p> |
