POLYESTER AND HOLLOW CONTAINER MADE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester which is reduced in mold fouling and has high production efficiency, and to provide a molding comprising the polyester. CONSTITUTION:This polyester is the one obtained from a dicarboxylic acid ingredient comprising terephthalic acid as the main component and a diol ingredient comprising ethylene glycol as the main component. This polyester contains monofunctional monomer units in an amount of 0.4-5mol% based on all dicarboxylic acid units, and has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.60-1.50dl/g and a cyclic trimer content of 0.40wt.% or lower. The hollow container comprises this polyester.
