PURPOSE:To firmly retain an air bag and also miniaturize its shape by folding an end part facing a gas generator to a fixed member side to form a side wall part in a presser member. CONSTITUTION:The inner side end part facing the circular hole 57 of a retainer 55 is bent in nearly vertically downward to form an inner side reinforcing part 61 as a side wall part, and the outer side end part of the retainer 55 is bent in nearly vertically upward to form an outer side reinforcing part 62. The retainer 55, an air bag 51, a base plate 31, and a gas generator 41 are inserted with a rivet 65 to be integrally linked. Consequently the rigidity of the retainer 55 can be improved, and also the inner side reinforcing part 61 firmly retains the air bag 51 in a condition of biting the air bag 51. Since the inner side reinforcing part 61 is folded to the lower side, the base plate 31 side, the inner side reinforcing part 61 of the retainer 55 and the gas jetting part 45 of the gas generator 41 are neared to form the diameter dimension of the retainer 55 smaller. |
