<p>A safety switch (1) has a support (2) made of elastomer and a through hollow space (3). In the hollow space (3) there are electrical conductors (4) and (5) which are separated (9) in the inoperative position. Each electrical conductor (4, 5) consists of a strip of carbon fibres with one broad side (6) or (7) vulcanised to the support (2) either directly or via a bonding layer (8). Substantially perpendicular pressure (12, 13) on the safety switch (1) causes the deformation of the support (2) and finally contact between the electrical conductors (4, 5). Safety functions are thereby ensured.</p> |
