PURPOSE:To achieve highly reliable connection of a fine metal wire to a negative electrode structure by laser-fusing one end of the fine metal wire into spherical shape, and by bonding the melted and spherically worked part to the negative electrode structure. CONSTITUTION:The spherical part 21A of a wire 21 is abutted on a predetermined point of a work 24 by moving a tool 23, and the wire 21 is bonded to the work 24 by applying ultrasonic waves to the tool 23. The tool 23 is moved in the direction where the wire 21 is extended. A laser beam is applied between the abutted point of the wire 21 in the work 24 and the tool 23, to cut the wire 21. Each end part of the cut wire 21 is formed into melted spherical part 21A. The wire 21 is moved in the direction of extension by moving a clamp 22 in the direction that the wire 21 is extended, and the spherical part of the front end of the wire is situated at the front end of the tool 23. The work 24 is rotated to place a sleeve on the side of the tool 23, to carry out next bonding. |
