Compounds of the formula (II) or salts thereof <IMAGE> in which R<1> is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, Z is CH or N and one of the radicals X and Y is halogen, (C1-C2)alkyl, (C1-C2)alkoxy, OCHF2 or CF3 and the other of the radicals X and Y is (C1-C2)alkyl, (C1-C2)alkoxy or OCHF2, are suitable as selective herbicides for use in crops of useful plants.
