<p>PURPOSE:To reduce an installing space for an air filter and make a small-sized air conditioner by a method wherein an air cleaning filter to be removably installed at a pre-filter is applied with a pleats work in a direction crossing at a right angle with a curved direction. CONSTITUTION:A pre-filter 20 made of soft material is curved along a front surface of a heat exchanger 13. An air cleaning filter 21 such as an electrostatic filter and the like is removably installed at a rear part of the pre-filter 20 through an outer frame 22. The air cleaning filter 21 is applied with pleats work for increasing a filtering area and folding lines 21A of pleats work are applied in a direction crossing at a right angle with respect to the curving direction. With such an arrangement as above, it is possible to curve the pre- filter 20 along the front surface of the heat exchanger 13 under a state in which the air cleaning filter 21 is installed. As a result, a fixing space for the air filter can be reduced so as to enable it to be contributed to a small-sized air conditioner.</p> |
