PURPOSE:To provide an electrode which can provide nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery excellent in charge/discharge cycle by at least containing active substance powder, which has reversibility to charge and discharge, and chemically and electrochemically inert whiskers. CONSTITUTION:An electrode contains at least active substance powder, which has reversibility to charge and discharge, and chemically and electrochemically inert whiskers. It is to be desired that this electrode active substance should be an object in which lithium can be inserted or broken away reversibly Moreover, the mixture contains a binder and constitutes a solid structure. The whisker is at least one kind being selected from among the group consisting of a silicon carbide whisker, silicon nitride whisker, a potassium titanate whisker, and an aluminum oxide whisker. Furthermore, the surface of the whisker is covered with at least on kind being selected from among the group consisting of carbon, nickel, copper, and stainless steel. |
