A method and a device for temporary defence against an attacker comprises throwing a net over said attacker from which net the attacker cannot free himself or herself quickly again. The net, which is folded into a stowage chamber, is withdrawn by centrifugal weights which are accelerated in the direction of the aggressor by the reactor gas in a small cartridge, and unfold the net at the same time.
