PURPOSE:To obtain a new toluidine derivative having further enhanced conventional muscle relaxant action on blood vessel and extremely improved unfavorable antihypertensive action passed by an existing compound. CONSTITUTION:A compound of the formula (iQ is 5-isoquinolinesulfonyl, substituted benzenesulfonyl, methanesulfonyl, substituted benzoyl, furanyl or nicotinyl; Ph is phenylene which may be substituted with methoxy; X is N or S; A is vinylene or methyleneoxy; Ar is halogen, methyl, CN, methoxycarbonyl, alkoxy or phenyl which is substituted with a group selected from 1 to 3 methoxy groups; R1 is H or a lower alkyl which may be substituted with 1 to 2 groups selected from OH, NH2, ethoxycarbonyl, aminoalkoxy, acetoxy, hydroxyalkyl, methoxy and pyrrolidine) such as N-[2-(4- chlorocinnamylamino)methy1]pheny-N-methyl-5-isoquinolinesulfonic acid amide. |
