METHOD FOR THE PREPARATION OF HIGH CONCENTRATION ACID COLLOIDAL SILICA

This is for acidic colloidal silica containing Na+ of low concentration by mechanical agitation and controlling of temp. of silica and ion exchange tower. The colloidal silica is converted to it of high concentration by ion exchange tower having double tube maintained to 40-60 deg.C. The temp. of ion exchange tower and the alkali colloidal silica is maintained to 40-60 deg.C. A ratio of height to diameter of tower is 2.5-7.
