PURPOSE:To evade the occurrence of erroneous conversion due to pen input by converting all isomorphic characters by replacing them with presecribed unconverted characters. CONSTITUTION:As for the pen inputted character, whether it is the isomorphic character or not is discriminated, and when the isomorphic character is inputted, that isomorphic character is replaced respectively with a corresponding prescribed unconverted character. KANJI (Chinese character) conversion is executed by converting an inputted character string into a necessary converted characters by using a dictionary provided with the isomorphic character as the converted character corresponding to this replaced unconverted character. Besides, this method can be constituted sometimes so as to discriminate both an inputted HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) character and a KATAKANA (square form of Japanese syllabary) character as the unconverted characters. All the inputted isomorphic characters are replaced with the corresponding unconverted characters in this way so as to prepare for later conversion. Then, the character string containing an unconverted character string is converted into the converted characters by the dictionary, but since all the isomorphic characters to be replaced are provided as the converted characters in the dictionary, the unconverted character can be converted into any of the isomorphic characters. |
