These bottles are of the type obtained by means of the moulding of plastic material and the present device separates, extremely rapidly and effectively, those which are defective from those which are sound, comprising for this purpose a vertical drum 1 mounted so as to rotate on a cabinet base 2 and actuated by a gear motor set 12 installed inside it, the drum 1 being composed of two discoidal plates 3, 4 joined by a central shaft 5 and with individual series of radial apertures 13, 14 which are spaced apart regularly and linked in pairs by means of individual dismantlable tubular bodies 15 in which are inserted the bottles b, which successively receive the actuation of three heads 18, 19, 20, the first blowing air into them to eliminate gases, the second also injecting air into them in order to detect leaks and the third checking their height, after which they are discharged from the drum 2 towards one location or another depending on whether they are sound or defective. <IMAGE>
