The present invention relates to a cinematographic film comprising a main, image-formation strip and a single lateral strip provided with sprocket holes. In this film, the width of the main strip corresponds to the usable width of an image in the standard 35 mm format; the width and the spacing between holes in the lateral strip correspond to the standard dimensions in the 16 mm format; and two holes correspond to each image, so that two successive image regions are separated by an image-free inter-image region. <IMAGE>
