PURPOSE:To provide a compact, lightweight differential gear capable of controlling differential limiting force correctly with desirable responsiveness. CONSTITUTION:This differential gear 7 is provided with differential mechanism 35 for distributing the driving force of an engine to the wheel side, a friction clutch 57 for limiting the differential transmission, a powder clutch 93, and a cam 67 for locking the friction clutch 57 by receiving the differential torque of the differential mechanism 35 when the powder clutch 93 is connected.
