PURPOSE:To maintain fluidity of chips after treatment by a method wherein fines are removed with a pneumatic classifier after adding external lubricant to the polybutylene terephthalate chips. CONSTITUTION:A process wherein fines are removed after adding external lubricant, is adopted. By using a pneumatic classifier as a fines-removing method, fines of polybutylene terephthalate chips can be removed while a required amount of the external lubricant is stuck to a surface of the polybutylene terphthalate as it is. Then, most of fines can be removed while about 70% of the added external lubricant is left as it is, and fluidity of the chips after treatment can be maintained. The polybutylene tere-phthalate chips which are excellent in fluidity and little in fines, can be easily manufactured. |
