PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having excellent flame-retardancy, impact resistance and light resistance by polymerizing a monovinyl aromatic monomer and an unsaturated nitrile together with a rubbery substance and using the obtained composition in combination with a halogen-containing aromatic diol, a specific aromatic compound and Sb2O3 as essential components. CONSTITUTION:The objective flame-retardant resin composition is produced by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of a resin composition obtained by polymerizing a monovinyl aromatic monomer and an unsaturated nitrile monomer in the presence of a rubbery substance, containing 8-24wt.% of the rubbery substance and 76-92wt.% of the copolymer composed of the monovinyl aromatic compound unit and the unsaturated nitrile compound unit and having an unsaturated nitrile compound unit content of 20-50wt.%, (B) 1-20 pts.wt. of an ether derivative of a halogen-containing aromatic diol having a weight-average molecular weight of 500-10,000, (C) 3-13 pts.wt. of a compound of formula [X is Br or Cl; (l) and (m) are 0-5; R is CnH2n ((n) is 1-10] and (D) 1-10 pts.wt. of antimony trioxide (the sum of the components B and C is 10-25 pts.wt.). |
