PURPOSE:To simplify the production and the reduce the cost by butting end parts of search units consisting of plural base units obtained by cutting a fixing base, electrode parts, and vibrating element coming into contact with electrode parts to form a search unit. CONSTITUTION:A vibrating element 15 and a base unit 20 are cut while leaving projecting parts 11a' and 11e' which have a half width of notched parts 11a and 11e, in respective end parts 21a and 21b as they are, thus forming search units 21. Projecting parts 11a' and 11e' of end parts 21a and 21b are brought into contact with each other to arrange plural units 21, and peripheries of lead wire parts 9 and 10 are molded with a resin to unify the units 21. Consequently, units 21 are only arranged to produce the search unit where vibrators 16a to 16d and lead wire parts 9 and 10 are precisely positioned. Further, the variation of transmission/reception performance is suppressed because of uniform width of vibrators 16a to 16d. Since end parts of search units are only butted against each other to produce the search unit in this manner, the production is simplified and the cost is reduced. |
