PURPOSE:To accurately restrict the upper limit value of AC voltage without waveform distortion by the simple and inexpensive constitution of a means and to prevent adverse effect caused by the waveform distortion in an electrifying device for contact-electrifying a body to be electrified by impressing bias voltage having an AC voltage component onto an electrifying member and an image forming device provided with the electrifying device as an electrifying means for an image carrier. CONSTITUTION:In the electrifying device electrifying the body to be electrified by allowing the electrifying member on which voltage is impressed to abut on the body to be electrified and using the bias voltage obtained by superposing the DC voltage of constant voltage control and the AC voltage of constant current control as the bias voltage impressed onto the electrifying member; a constant current control means for the AC voltage is provided with a differential amplifier means 11, a sine wave output means 16, a voltage booster means 17 to high voltage from low voltage, and an amplitude restricting means 15 for the AC voltage; and the means 15 is arranged in the preceding stage of the means 17. |
