The present invention relates to a method for recognising faults in glass bodies, the glass bodies being illuminated with radar waves. The beams reflected from the glass body, which is preferably arranged so that it can be rotated, or from the fault are detected by a plurality of detectors arranged one on top of the other and are subjected to a frequency analysis with regard to the frequency shifts resulting from the different dielectric constants of the glass body and fault.
