PURPOSE:To obtain an image processing device capable of accurately performing character recognition by correcting delicate enlargement or reduction to the original image of a received image. CONSTITUTION:A reference mark detecting means 31 operates a sheet buffer in a retrieval area, and retrieves a reference mark at an upper left part, and retrieves another reference mark when the reference mark is detected. When the reference mark is detected, an inter-reference mark length detecting means 32 calculates distance between the marks from a detected reference mark, and an original image size/shift quantity detecting means 33 detects the size of the original image from length between the marks, and also, detects the deicate enlargement or reduction on the original image of the received image. A correction means 34 corrects the delicate enlargement or reduction on the original image of the received image detected by the original size/shift quantity detecting means 33. |
