METHOD FOR CONNECTING OPTICAL CIRCUIT BOARD AND OPTICAL FIBER

PURPOSE:To provide the method which connects optical fibers in an arbitrary position of an optical waveguide. CONSTITUTION:When optical fibers 7a and 7b are connected to optical waveguides 2a and 2b of an optical circuit board A where optical waveguides are formed in a clad by patterning, a curved part 4 having optical waveguides 2a and 2b is formed in the optical circuit board A and is bent to project connection end faces 2a' and 2b' of optical waveguides upward or downward from a surface A of the optical circuit board A, and end faces 7a' and 7b' of optical fibers 7a and 7b are connected to exposed end faces 2a' and 2b' of optical waveguides.
