PURPOSE:To set the memory area of a font cache memory to an optimum value. CONSTITUTION:A storage means 31 provides a part of its memory area as the font cache memory 31a and the remaining area as a work area, etc. A necessary time clocking means 32 clocks the necessary time T of scheduled unit operation accompanying access to the font cache memory 31a. A target time setting means 33 sets target time Tref regarding the necessary time. A comparing means 34 compares the necessary time T with the target time Tref. A memory area varying means 35 expands the memory area for the font cache memory 31a in the storage means 31 once a comparing means 34 judges that (T > Tref). |
