PURPOSE:To enable sharp printing by simply measuring the emission quantity of the ink from a nozzle and properly controlling the same on the basis of the measured result. CONSTITUTION:When a CPU 46 receives a measuring start signal, the CPU 46 outputs a current supply width command signal to a drive signal generator 16 according to the program in a program memory part 47 and the drive signal generator 16 outputs the drive control signal corresponding to the input signal to a head driving part 21. The head driving part 21 supplies a current to a heating element 13 in the time width corresponding to the input signal to emit ink from a jet orifice 15. The time from the start of current supply to the electrical connection of the jet orifice 15 and an electrode plate 20 due to the emitted ink is measured by a counter 34 to be outputted to the CPU 46. The CPU 46 reads the time width data corresponding to the count value being the output of the counter 34 from an ROM 45 to send a corrected current supply width command signal to the drive signal generator 16 to correct the emission quantity of ink. |
