<p>PURPOSE:To improve color reproducibility, colorability and light transmittability by using a pigment having a specific grain size and specifying the pigment grain size in the toner to a specific range. CONSTITUTION:The pigments having <=0.3mum grain size are used and the pigment grain size is specified to <=0.5mum. The grain size of the pigments dispersed into color toner particles is measured by preparing a sample by an embedding method using color toners, further, preparing a slice by a microtome, taking a field emission type scanning electron microscopic photograph and measuring the pigment grain size by an image analyzer. The usable pigments, are not limited, insofar as the pigments are insoluble in water; for example, the pigments include the pigments selected from among an azo system, phthalocyanines, anthraquinones, thioindigos, perynones, perylenes, etc. These pigments have preferably <=0.3mum, more preferably 0.15mum grain sizes. The color development of the pigments is not excellent at >=0.3mum.</p> |
