PURPOSE:To unnecessitate the manual operation of a switch or the like and to eliminate hearing difficulty caused by sound field adjustment at the time of stereo broadcast reception by automatically controlling sound field effects according to the change of a stereo separation degree corresponding to the strength of an electric field. CONSTITUTION:A signal from an antenna 1 is turned and detected by an RF circuit 2, IF circuit 3 and detection circuit 4, an SRC circuit 5 is controlled by a DC voltage from a signal meter circuit 11, the degree of right/left separation is controlled through an MPX circuit 6 corresponding to electric field strength and a stereo signal is outputted. Thus, when the electric field of a receiving station is weak at the time of stereo broadcast reception, the degree of separation is reduced and when the electric field is strong, the degree of separation is enlarged. In this case, a sound field adjusting part 7 is set so as to apply the pseudo sound field adaptive for the stereo broadcast reception of the strong electric field and since sounds are hardly heard when the degree of separation is reduced, the effect amount of the adjusting part 7 is decreased by fetching the DC voltage of the circuit 11 into a microcomputer 12. |
