PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for adjusting the length of wire and cutting the wire in an apparatus for guiding wire for a wire harness into a U-shape when adjusting the length of the wire and cutting the wire into a predetermined size. CONSTITUTION:A fixed guide block 21 is provided with a projecting peripheral face 211a and a movable guide block 22 is provided with a recessed peripheral face 221. A recessed groove 221a is formed on the recessed peripheral face 221 of the movable guide block 22. The movable guide block 22 is made to abut to the fixed guide block 21 so that a U-shaped wire guideway R1 is formed by the projecting peripheral face 211a and by the recessed groove 221a. Wire W is fed using rollers 331, 332, 341, 342. The wire W fed is guided along the wire guideway R1 into a U-shape. The end of the wire guided from the wire guideway R1 is clamped with a clamp 42. The movable guide block 22 is separated from the fixed guide block 21 and the wire W is fed by a predetermined amount, clamped using a guide clamp 41, and cut. The wire can thus be guided into a U-shape by simply passing the wire through both of the guide blocks. |
