PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of characteristics by using a lithium ion conductive solid electrolyte and a detecting electrode material thereby avoiding influences of the moisture in the air when a sensor is not heated. CONSTITUTION:A lithium ion conductive solid electrolyte 9 mainly composed of Li, Al, Si, O is used for an alkali ion conductive solid electrolyte. Lithium carbonate or a mixture of lithium carbonate and one or a plurality of kinds of alkaline earth metallic carbonate is added to a detecting electrode 8 by 5-50% of the weight of the electrode. The lithium ion conductive solid electrolyte 9 has a considerably small solubility to water, and the amount of lithium ions movable in the electrolyte 9 is enough to work as a sensor. The moisture in the air is hard to influence the sensor. Further, since lithium carbonate has a small solubility to water, the deliquescence is never brought about by the moisture in the air. |
