<p>PURPOSE:To selectively demodulate either of two pictures whose vertical and horizontal resolutions differ from each other. CONSTITUTION:A still picture processing section 13 applies still picture processing to a digital picture signal. A motion picture processing section 14 applies motion picture processing to the digital picture signal. A 1st low pass filter 15 reduces the resolution of a still picture processing output signal. A 2nd low pass filter 16 reduces the resolution of a motion picture processing output signal. A mixer section 21 mixes the still picture processing output signal from the still picture processing section 13 with the motion processing output signal of the motion picture processing section 14 in response to the motion picture area detection signal of a luminance signal and a color difference signal detected by a motion picture area detection processing section 12 or mixes a still picture filtering signal through the 1st low pass filter 15 with a motion picture filtering signal through the 2nd low pass filter 16. A low frequency replacement processing section 22 applies replacement processing to the low frequency of the still picture motion picture mixed signal.</p> |
