PURPOSE:To provide a dielectric ceramic composition having a high dielectric constant, large no-load Q, and good stability of the temperature coefficient of resonance frequency by specifying the composition of Ti, Pr, and O. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric ceramic composition is made of Ti, Pr, and 0 and expressed by the composition formula xTiO2.yPrO11/6, where 0.3<=x<=0.8, 0.2<=y<=0.7, x+y=1. It has excellent characteristics as a dielectric material, and it is suitable for a dielectric resonator material used in the band of 0.1-5GHz in particular. To manufacture this ceramic composition, for example, prescribed quantities of starting raw materials such as TiO2, Pr6O11 are wet-mixed, then they are dried, crushed, and calcined at about 1,000-1,200 deg.C. The calcined material is crushed, added with an organic binder, pressurized, and molded. The molding is baked at about 1,400-1,600 deg.C in the oxygen-containing gas atmosphere. |
