PURPOSE:To miniaturize the device and to reduce the number of parts, as well. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a photosensitive drum unit 22 which is freely replaceable to an electrophotographic mechanism part 21 and an image is formed by electrifying, exposing, developing and transferring to the photosensitive drum of the photosensitive drum unit, then the device is provided with a counter 30 counting the number of times to form the image of the photosensitive drum unit, a fuse resistance 23 disposed in the photosensitive drum unit, a detecting means composed of resistances 24 and 25 detecting the presence of discontinuity in the fuse resistance and an A/D converter 29 at the time of loading the photosensitive drum unit on the electrophotographic mechanism part and a microprocessor 28 turning a transistor 16 on when the detecting means detects continuity of the fuse resistance, causing a melting electric current to flow through the fuse resistance, controlling the melting of the fuse resistance, and simultaneously, resetting the counter for initializing. |
