OPPOSITE PARTY VERIFICATION METHOD FOR PACKET COMMUNICATIONS UTILIZING PUBLIC ISDN NETWORK

PURPOSE:To reduce the delay time of connection by verification processing by using a called subaddress in a call message on a call request to an ISD network so as to execute opposite party verification processing. CONSTITUTION:A connection source communications equipment 10-1 stores identification data to a called subaddress 32 in the stage of generating a call message 31 and send the data to an ISD network. A communications equipment 10-2 at a connection destination verifies an opposite party based on identification data stored in a called address 32 in a received call message 31 to execute data link establish processing. Thus, transmission/reception of frame data for verifying the opposite party having been executed after data link establishment is omitted and then a time till a backup route is set up through an ISDN line is reduced.
