PURPOSE:To allow levitation running of a superconducting magnetic levitation vehicle without causing collision of the bottom face of truck against a rail at the time of quenching of superconducting coil. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting magnet unit comprises superconducting coils 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d arranged at same interval and superconducting coils 3e, 3f, 3g, 3h arranged symmetrically thereto on the opposite sides thereof and constituted such that the superconducting coil 3h or 3g can be quenched when the superconducting coil 3a or 3b is quenched. This constitution allows sustention of levitation running even if one superconducting coil is quenched during running of a truck mounting a superconducting magnet unit. |
