PURPOSE:To considerably decrease an iron loss without decreasing an occupying rate by radiating plasma flames to a grain oriented silicon steel sheet which is subjected to final finish annealing then to mirror finishing. CONSTITUTION:The Si-contg. grain oriented silicon sheet is subjected to 1 pass or 2 passes of cold rolling including intermediate annealing to a final sheet thickness then to decarburization annealing. After a separating agent for annealing essentially consisting of MgO or Al2O3 is coated thereon, the steel sheet is subjected to the final finish annealing. The forsterite film on the surface is removed by pickling when the MgO annealing agent is coated thereon. The surface of the silicon steel sheet is finished to a specular surface at it is when the Al2O3 annealing agent is coated thereon. The plasma flames are thereafter radiated to such steel sheet in the direction intersecting with the rolling direction thereof. The iron loss characteristic of the grain oriented silicon steel is thereby additionally improved. |
