POLYCARBONATE RESIN HAVING PARAPHENYLENEDIACETIC ACID ESTER

PURPOSE:To produce a novel polycarbonate resin having structural unit(s) which has not hitherto been observed without impairing the characteristics of polycarbonate resins such as excellent impact resistance, low moisture absorption and high heat stability. CONSTITUTION:This polycarbonate resin comprises repetition of the structural unit represented by formula (I) or the structural units represented by formulae (I) and (III) and has a reduced viscosity of 0.2 or more (25 deg.C, 0.5/dl chloroform).
