PURPOSE:To provide an information protection method invalidating copy information without damaging the performance of a system and an information medium to which the method is applied. CONSTITUTION:The information protection method protecting the security of information stored in the information medium 10 is provided with an information storage means 10a and a ciphering means 10b in the information medium 10. The ciphering means 10b ciphers information according to an access address to the information storage means 10a. The ciphering means 10b is constituted by a circuit which is made into LSI.
