Mounting for a shank of a hollow spindle of a spinning or twisting machine

For the mounting of the shank of a two-for-one twisting spindle, two ball bearings are provided, the balls of which are guided externally in running grooves of a bearing sleeve and internally in running grooves of a bearing shaft. The bearing shaft is connected fixedly in terms of rotation at a free end to the free end of a hollow shaft which, together with the bearing shaft, forms the shank. The bearing shaft and the hollow shaft are held by a press fit in a passage bore of constant diameter of a connecting socket. The bearing shaft is connected to a driving wharve which engages over the bearing sleeve in the region of a ball bearing.
