The invention relates to a rotary stacking container. It consists in the fact that, on at least one of those points on the upper container edge (17) on which the bottom (25) of the next higher container is seated during stacking, the surfaces intended for supporting the upper container are arranged recessed in a top piece (17) of the container, that a vertical projection (14) for engagement in the bottom of the upper container is arranged in at least one of these depressions (13), and that a corresponding receiving part (22) for this projection (14) is provided on the underside of the bottom, rotated by 180 DEG about the vertical mid-axis. <IMAGE>
