PURPOSE:To provide a decorative material being a fiber composite raw material, which is used for surface decoration for various opening parts of home appliances, acoustic instruments and air conditioning facilities, e.g. such positions as a heat dissipating and absorbing hole of a speaker and a vent for exhaust and intake. CONSTITUTION:A decorative material 1 for an opening is formed of a member 2 for the opening prepd. by impregnating a fabric of leno cloth textured mainly of a filament yarn consisting of a synthetic fiber and with a filament yarn denier of at least 70 denier and with a thread count of at most 100 threads/inch of at least one of the warp and the weft with a resin and a double-adhesive tape 4 with partially punched openings 3 as an adhesive member provided on one face of the member for the opening.
