PURPOSE:To prevent a certificate from being forged or illegally used in respect of a certificate issuing/collating device for a deposit certificate or the like. CONSTITUTION:The certificate issuing/collating system is provided with a data management system 1 for unitarily managing transaction data with a customer, an issuing machine 2 for issuing a deposit certificate 10 at the time of a transaction with a customer and a collating machine 3 for confirming the transaction with the customer, the certificate 10 to be used has a magnetic recording part 4, the issuing machine 2 has a magnetic recording means 5, and the collating machine 3 is provided with a magnetic data reading means 7 for reading out magnetically recorded transaction data. The read transaction data are compared/ collated with customer's transaction data stored in the system 1 and the compared/collated result is displayed on a display part 8. At the time of canceling the certificate 10, the certificate 10 is inserted into the machine 2, its cancellation is recorded in a magnetic recording part of the certificate 10 and printed out on the surface of the certificate 10. |
