PURPOSE:To obtain ink which gives printed matters of reduced feathering and bleeding because of its good fixation properties by adding a polysaccharide having a specific base unit and a specific molecular weight to a recording liquid containing coloring materials and a medium dissolving, dispersing or sustaining the materials. CONSTITUTION:Coloring material such as dyes or pigments and a medium which dissolves, disperses or sustains the coloring material are mixed and the mixture is combined with a polysaccharide which has a basic unit of the formula (n is 0 to 2), a molecular weight of 7,000 to 1,000,000 in an amount of 0.01 to 10wt.% to give the ink which has excellent fixation properties and give printed matters of reduced feathering and bleeding. The ink 21 is rapidly heated by allowing it to pass through the ink path made of glass or ceramic and the heating head 15 consisting of protecting membrane 16, aluminum electrodes 17-1, 17-2, heating resistor layer 18, heat-storing layer 19 and the base plate 20 and splashed into droplets 24 from the outlet orifice 22 of the head 13 to which the ink path and the heating head 15 are set onto the material to be recorded 25 to form an image. |
